WHAT IS OUR POLICY ON INSURANCE?

Insurance is complicated and tricky. Below is some information on our policy for your reading pleasure.

To participate with an insurance company’s network, a fee is dictated to the practice for reimbursement by that company. In most cases, the amount of reimbursement to the practice is set so low that a clinic is forced to see more and more patients to keep their doors open. This reality forces the hand of the participating clinic to become a high-volume practice, seeing as many as 4-6 patients per hour for financial feasibility. In such cases, patients will see their PT for only 10-15 minutes of individualized time.

Symbio Physio refuses to allow insurance companies to force us into sub-optimal care and a cookie-cutter approach. Because of our philosophy, we feel it is paramount to provide focused sessions of one-on-one time with each patient. To stray from that principle would be a betrayal of what we believe to be the best way to help our patients achieve their goals.

Our patients understand the complexity and reality of our current healthcare system and have come to appreciate the difference they see at Symbio.

Our job is to get people better. We don’t take that lightly. Treating patients one-on-one for 45 minutes is the best and most efficient way to make that happen. We promise to do all we can to work with you and your insurance company to make sure you get the best care available.
